Merry Christmahanakwanza...

Christmas happens once a year, but I think it should happen more like once every two years. The older I get, the faster times seems to fly. I feel like last Christmas happened a few weeks ago or something. I love seeing the whole family. My parents love being Santa. Even though we're all a little old for it, we write wish lists and set cookies out for him when the time comes. This morning I woke up to find a new pair of black Deena & Ozzy black lace-up boots, a Grateful Dead t-shirt, a TV, and a crystal mineral necklace. I think I was a good girl.
I gave my father a pint glass, because he's all about the Heffeweizens right now and they just taste so much better from a nice pint glass. I gave my mother a painting. We had this huge family white elephant gift game last night. We al get two gifts, mine were a fancy candle with a six pack of Shiner Cheer and a lazy susan paired with a new tupperware piece filled with homemade peanut brittle. I walked away with my candle/beer combo (because things got stolen/traded from me) and an herb garden kit. Awesome.

I have a lot to be grateful for, and I certainly am.

There is love in you...

So I started a Look Book account, and so far I have posted two looks. Here is one. This is another photograph by Wesley. I really love the sweater I'm wearing because my father gave it to my mother on Valentines in middle school, when they met. Awwww.

Please go and give me some hype!

Day dreamin' machine....

This is a little pen drawing I did.

A million tomorrows...

My friend Wesley Kirk took some photos of me the other day. We just kind of walked around an abandoned infirmary and made some digital love on his new camera. I'm not really into posing for stuff, so a lot of my facial expressions are a little silly but I had a lot of fun. Here are a few photos that he took:

If anyone feels like giving me some feedback for my outfit on Look Book. My badge is on the right.

The rest of his stuff is also amazing. His website is here.

Sterotypical...

I have on reader. It's alright though. This is just a sum of me in a few stereotypical Macbook photos:

The wall I painted in Ben's room.

My wall in my (not so new anymore) apartment.

This is my kitty, Chihiro. And my boyfriend, Ben.

Lately

I've been working on painted shoes. I used to sell them but I'm taking a break from it now. Here are some of the most recent ones I've done.

^These were for a yoga instructor.

I really loved these peacock ones but the woman I painted them for said she hated them. I think she resold them to someone else. Oh well, you can't please everyone all the time.

The woman I did these for wanted a 60's theme. My expertise.

The beginning...

So this is my blog. I'm not sure how this will turn out or who will even spend the time to read it, but I'm going to try it. This blog is an experiment. I want to post my art, style, inspiration and thoughts.

I live in Austin, the music capitol of the world. It's a pretty awesome city. I'm a studio art major at St. Edward's University. I paint with acrylics mostly, and I'll be posting a lot of my work. I have a kitten named Chihiro and a boyfriend named Ben. Everyday is beautiful...and so my blog begins.
